(More customer reviews)I knew the casing was plastic, but apparently so are the gears that drive the pan/tilt. Works fine as long as it's panning only. At one point when tilting the balance of the weight of the camera jerks the unit back and forth depending on the tilt angle. but I don't use much of that. One bad thing is that when setting (Position 1) and (Position 2) and shifting from one to the other, the unit does not pan and tilt at the same time. It will first pan then tilt making footage taken during the shift useless. The distance that the transmitter reaches the receiver averaged at about 50 ft, despite the claim of 100 ft.
For the price it does the job as could be expected with plastic parts.
