(More customer reviews)I've used many of these extenders and they really can be hit or miss. One thing with this guy is that if your output device doesn't provide enough "juice" on the HDMI cable they don't work. The most common culprit would be a receiver causing problems. The red LED will be dim and you won't get a signal. If you have a good source or put in a splitter that adds power that can fix the problem. I've been able to run 1080p over 50ft of Cat6 with no problem. So, if you're stuck with one of these try buying an inexpensive HDMI splitter that is powered to see if that fixes the problem.
You certainly can't beat the price.
