(More customer reviews)I had hight hopes for this device. We had planned on using it to transport video approx 100 feet to a display board in are lunch room service area. A power point video was to be run to show the current menu options. Thinking ahead I setup the unit in our lab area to test it out. Using the instructions I followed each step. I used a standard Cat5e patch cable 25'. The remote monitor was on the other side of the room. After hooking everything up and plugging in the units, boom there was video on the monitor across the room. As I moved closer to the remote monitor I discovered that the signal was so distorted that I could not read any text on the screen. (streaking, dis-colorization and blurry text) I changed resolutions, PCs and played with all the skew setting on the device. I even contacted Startech's support channel. (online chat) Even with the assistance of their support it was concluded that the device was faulty. I had the choice to return the device to amazon or send it in for repair. I am choosing to sent it back to amazon for a full refund.
